Jackson Diamonds

Jackson Diamond: Professional Baseball in Jackson, Tennessee

by Kevin D. McCann

Jackson Diamonds is the complete, untold story of minor league baseball in Jackson, Tennessee. From the 1903 Red Railroaders to the 1998 West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, it features season-by-season accounts of all nineteen professional teams that have played in Jackson and complete league standings and player statistics. This book is a nostalgic look at minor league baseball in the South, a time when players wore baggy flannel uniforms, played day-night doubleheaders, rode in dilapidated school buses, and played for the love of the game.
